About Hudson Highlands Veterinary Medical Group
Hudson Highlands Veterinary Medical Group is a well-established, multi-location practice serving the Hudson Valley for over 50 years, with a 11,000 sq ft flagship hospital in Hopewell Junction that supports both specialty and general practice care. The hospital is fully equipped for advanced internal medicine case management, including a modern Versana Balance ultrasound (approximately 1 year old), endoscopy, ICU, radiology, spacious treatment areas, and separate patient wards. The hospital also features electronic medical records, a dental suite, an underwater treadmill, dedicated general practice and specialty surgery suites, multiple doctor offices, and a large reception area. The culture is collaborative and respectful, combining long standing community values with advanced medicine in a setting that allows specialists to focus on patient care.
We are seeking an Internal Medicine Specialist to serve as the primary medical case manager for complex and chronic cases within an established specialty and referral model. This role supports onsite consultations, advanced diagnostics, abdominal ultrasound, endoscopy, and comprehensive treatment planning, with responsibility for guiding cases from diagnosis through long term follow up. The specialist will collaborate closely with in-house general practitioners, surgical and cardiology specialists, trusted regional referral partners, technicians, and a dedicated referral coordinator to maintain clear referral pathways and coordinated care. The focus is on keeping appropriate cases local for clients and referring veterinarians while achieving strong medical outcomes without duplicating services already provided by other specialists. Clear communication, shared case discussions, and empathetic, patient focused care are central to success in this role.
We are dedicated to establishing a culture that celebrates all forms of diversity and allows us to be an inclusive service provider in this community.
