Lincoln Memorial University College of Veterinary Medicine (LMU-CVM) invites applications for the position of Director of LMU Clinical DVM Program Operations & Assistant Professor.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced veterinarian interested in combining veterinary education, clinical program leadership, operations, and student success. The position is remote and requires occasional travel to LMU DVM instructional sites.
Position Overview Working collaboratively with the Executive Associate Dean of Clinical Relations and Outreach and other faculty and staff, the Director provides operational and executional leadership for the LMU Clinical DVM Program.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to help shape LMU's Clinical DVM Program while contributing to the education and development of future veterinarians.
Key Responsibilities The Director will provide leadership and oversight for several important components of LMU's clinical veterinary education program, including:
LMU DVM Clinical Course Mentor Program
LMU DVM Clinical Site Training Program
LMU DVM Clinical Year Student Success Program
LMU DVM Professional Quality Assurance Program
Clinical education initiatives within LMU's hybrid distributed clinical education model
Assessment of measurable student learning outcomes using qualitative and quantitative metrics
Development and delivery of instructional materials
Preparation of required reports
Collaboration with students, faculty, staff, clinical affiliates, and external partners
Participation in strategic initiatives supporting the mission and goals of LMU-CVM
Representation of the college at appropriate AAVMC, AVMA, state VMA, and other professional programs and events
Periodic travel as needed
The position may also include service, teaching, and research responsibilities based upon assigned full-time equivalent.
Qualifications Required:
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree
Preferred:
MBA and/or board certification
At least 10 years of experience in clinical veterinary practice or academia
