Description

Mixed Animal Veterinarian. Crockett Veterinary Hospital is a four doctor MIXED (50/50) animal practice looking for a veterinarian to work on cattle, horses, and small animals. Crockett, Texas is located in Houston County which has the highest concentration of cow/calf producers in the state. On the equine side, there are primarily barrel horses, cutting horses and backyard pleasure horses. We do everything from routine care, emergency services, surgical procedures, sick care, breeding, etc. We are fully equipped with digital radiology, portable ultrasound, complete blood machines, and more. We have a cow barn with a hydraulic chute, two separate horse barns, and a small animal facility with 5 exam rooms, 2 treatment rooms and 2 surgery rooms. We routinely bounce cases off each other to ensure the best treatment plan and the best outcome for our patients. We pay a base salary or 25% of production services!

Benefits include:

4 days per week plus 1/2 day every other Saturday - coming off call you will have Friday, Saturday, and Sunday off

Emergency On-Call: Split between 6 doctors (between Houston County Vet and Crockett Vet) so equals one week every 6 weeks

Call Pay: Emergency fee plus 25% of professional services

Health Insurance:  You get your own health insurance and we will reimburse. We pay workman's compensation.

Professional Organizations: AVMA and TVMA (if you want to be active in another organizations we will pay)

Other benefits: We pay license fee, DEA, CE allowance and time off.
