Medical Director Role & Responsibilities
As Medical Director, you will play a key leadership role while remaining actively involved in clinical practice.
What You’ll Love:
- Leading a collaborative multi-doctor veterinary team
- Practicing medicine in a modern facility with industry-leading equipment
- Mentoring DVMs and supporting professional development and clinical excellence
- Providing clinical and administrative guidance to the medical team
- Partnering with the Practice Manager and Regional Operations Manager to:Ensure regulatory compliance
- Support annual strategic planning
- Develop and execute growth initiatives

Compensation & Benefits:
- We offer a highly competitive leadership compensation package, including:
- Competitive Salary: ProSal with no Negative Accrual
- Annual performance bonus for Medical Directors + stipend
- Up to $50,000 sign-on bonus available for experienced candidates
- Ownership or Partnership interest? Equity ownership package with no money out of pocket! Up to $300,000 and annual MD bonus of $15,000

Requirements
Qualifications & Core Competencies:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), VMD, or equivalent from an accredited veterinary school
- Active veterinary license in good standing in the state of Texas
- Ideally 5+ years of clinical veterinary experience
- Demonstrated leadership experience in a veterinary setting preferred
- Strong emotional intelligence and people-management skills
- Commitment to gold-standard veterinary medicine and ethical practice
- Proven ability to delegate effectively and drive team performance
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
