Medical Director Role & Responsibilities

As Medical Director, you will play a key leadership role while remaining actively involved in clinical practice.

• Leading a collaborative multi-doctor veterinary team
• Practicing medicine in a modern facility with industry-leading equipment
• Mentoring DVMs and supporting professional development and clinical excellence
• Providing clinical and administrative guidance to the medical team
• Partnering with the Practice Manager and Regional Operations Manager to:Ensure regulatory compliance
• Support annual strategic planning

Compensation & Benefits:

• We offer a highly competitive leadership compensation package, including:
• Competitive Salary: ProSal with no Negative Accrual
• Annual performance bonus for Medical Directors + stipend
• Up to $50,000 sign-on bonus available for experienced candidates
• Ownership or Partnership interest? Equity ownership package with no money out of pocket! Up to $300,000 and annual MD bonus of $15,000

Requirements

Qualifications & Core Competencies:

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), VMD, or equivalent from an accredited veterinary school
• Active veterinary license in good standing in the state of Texas
• Ideally 5+ years of clinical veterinary experience
• Demonstrated leadership experience in a veterinary setting preferred
• Strong emotional intelligence and people-management skills
• Commitment to gold-standard veterinary medicine and ethical practice
• Proven ability to delegate effectively and drive team performance
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
