Description
A two-doctor practice. A growing community. A comp package built around you.
CareVet of Belton has been proudly serving their community for over 30 years and they're ready to bring in the right veterinarian to grow with them. If you want to practice at a high level, with a close-knit and collaborative team, this one's worth a closer look!
The Role
We are seeking a veterinarian with strong surgical skills or interest to join our dedicated team. Our ideal candidate is someone who takes pride in their work for their community, communicates well with clients, and truly enjoys being part of a team. If that's you, Belton will fit. In addition to monthly staff meetings that keep everyone connected and aligned, our team enjoys regular fun get-togethers that strengthen relationships and celebrate our shared successes! You'll be working alongside two established veterinarians and an experienced support staff — enough coverage to breathe, enough autonomy to practice the way you want to.
The Medicine
This isn't a referral-everything practice. CareVet of Belton handles a wide range of care and surgical cases in-house. Our facility features three exam rooms and two separate entrances - one specifically for our feline patients and one for dogs to help create a calm, stress-free environment for both pets and their owners. We are equipped with diagnostic and treatment technologies, including digital radiography, cold therapy laser, surgical cutting laser, ultrasound, dental equipment, lift tables, in-house Idexx lab equipment, and a full pharmacy area. You'll have the tools to do real work.
The Location
Located just 20 minutes south of downtown Kansas City, the Plaza and more - Belton offers a thriving community with the warmth of a small-town community and the convenience of big-city access. Outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy the city's extensive park system, walking trails, and nearby recreational areas such as Wallace Park and the Markey Park Sports Complex. Commuting to Kansas City is straightforward and hassle-free, making it easy to enjoy all the shopping, dining, sports, and nightlife that a big city offers while still coming home to the peace and comfort of a close-knit community. The area is growing, family-friendly, and genuinely underrated!

About CareVet
CareVet partners with veterinary hospitals across the country to preserve what makes each practice worth working at — the team, the culture, the community connection — while adding the clinical resources, compensation, and support infrastructure that independent practices often can't offer alone. The mission is straightforward: exceptional care for patients, and a career worth staying in for the people who provide it.
Requirements
- Diagnose and treat patients across the full scope of general practice, with in-house diagnostics, radiology, and ultrasound at your disposal
- Treat and dress wounds
- Prescribe medication
- Perform surgery on patients
- Manage cases from first exam through recovery, with an experienced support staff that keeps things running so you can focus on medicine
- Build genuine client relationships — explaining conditions clearly, guiding treatment decisions, and earning the kind of trust that keeps a practice thriving
- Collaborate with fellow veterinarians on complex cases — real consultation, not just parallel shifts in the same building
- Prescribe, treat, and vaccinate with the confidence that comes from having the tools and team behind you
