South Federal Animal Hospital is an independently owned, AAHA – accredited, well-equipped, small animal practice. Located in the heart of downtown Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Our location is just 5 minutes from the beach, Las Olas Boulevard and downtown shopping areas and dining spots. Established in 1969, the hospital has built a loyal upscale clientele that prioritizes top-tier veterinary services and personalized attention for their pets.
The SFAH team is made of 3 full-time veterinarians and a dedicated support staff with a strong emphasis on staff retention. We recently relocated into a state-of-the-art fully equipped with digital technology. Our hospital features 5 exam rooms, a comfort room, full in-house laboratory, therapy laser, digital radiography with board certified radiology interpretation, ultrasound performed by internal medicine specialist, dental suite with dental x-ray, and surgery suite with full anesthesia monitoring systems.
SFAH offers an ideal environment for experienced veterinarians to refine their skills or explore new areas of interests. For new graduates, SFAH is an excellent opportunity to build confidence, enhance your abilities and achieve success with the support of mentorship of our collaborative team of doctors who bring a diverse range of experience and expertise.
Our full-time veterinarians work on average 40 hrs/week with No after-hours emergencies, no holidays and no Sundays. We are open Monday-Friday from 8:00 am until 5:30pm and Saturdays from 8:00 am until noon. We maintain strong partnerships with local emergency clinics and a variety of specialty clinics, ensuring access to Board Certified Specialists for our patients when needed.
