Compensation: $48.00 – $52.00/ hour (Depending on experience)
Position Overview:
The Bond Between is seeking a skilled Veterinarian to join our established Veterinary Center team
in Minnetonka on Fridays. While our organization is widely recognized for its rescue and foster
programs, our Vet Center operates a full-service, market-rate public clinic that serves as a vital
social enterprise for our mission.
This role is focused on client-owned animals and operates with the same clinical standards,
pricing structures, and professional expectations as a traditional private practice. However, unlike
a corporate or private-equity practice, 100% of the revenue generated by our public clinic is
reinvested directly back into our mission, funding the rescue or animals in need as well as
providing community services. We are looking for a practitioner who enjoys a medicine-heavy
caseload focusing on wellness, diagnostics, and chronic disease management and who finds
fulfillment in knowing their professional expertise provides the financial engine that saves lives.
Position Responsibilities:
1. Outpatient Medicine: Conduct comprehensive wellness exams, vaccinations, and
diagnostic workups for sick-patient visits.2. Diagnostic Management: Order and interpret diagnostic tests (including digital
radiography and in-house/send-out laboratory work) to develop effective treatment plans.
3. Chronic Case Care: Manage ongoing medical cases, including dermatology, internal
medicine, and geriatric care, ensuring continuity of service for our regular clients.
4. Client Education: Provide clear, empathetic communication regarding diagnoses,
preventative health, and long-term treatment strategies to foster pet-owner trust.
5. Medical Leadership: Help oversee the Friday clinical support staff, providing guidance to
technicians and CSRs to ensure a professional and efficient patient flow.
6. Pharmacy & Documentation: Manage prescriptions and maintain meticulous digital
medical records in accordance with the Minnesota Board of Veterinary Medicine standards.
7. Surgical Support (Secondary): While surgery is not a primary duty of this shift, the ability
to perform minor urgent procedures and to provide surgical cross coverage for our other
veterinarians is ideal.
